It is very likely that Boris Johnson will become the next leader of the British Conservative party. After the failures from Theresa May, it will be interesting to see how he can save Brexit and the United Kingdom.
Every good leader knows everything about his enemy. For the United Kingdom, it is the increasing popularity of protectionism, socialism and the bureaucrats from Brussels defending the undefendable.
With the United Kingdom at one of the most challenging times of modern history, we need to address what should be done and is being done.
After all, we humans are capable of producing goods and services other people wish. But we don’t wish or desire ourselves.
For the current potential of Great Britain, we need to look at other countries and island nations who were in exactly the same situation. Just look at the economic success which happened in Singapore and Hong Kong.
Two small island nations with highly limited natural resources were the situation when they gained independence. So what did the future bring those 2 countries? The 2 countries are economic succesful and are true economic powerhouses. How did they get there? By having economic freedom and very limited government operations.
This is exactly the route the United Kingdom should follow. The repeal of the Corn Act is a very good starting point. Let’s abolish and repeal 1 law a day.
Yes, I know 1 law a day it not the best thing. But so long we are on the proper road we will see more economic success and less poverty.
The Brexit is, from an economic perspective, an unprecedented opportunity for the good. But will the British people get what they voted for? I sincerely doubt it.
