There is a lot of talk about the Green New Deal. Even from those who oppose the GND (those with common sense) are a few who support some parts of it. That is mainly the vision and ambition. A politician with a vision and some longterm goals is something really rare. But it is also extremely dangerous.
The sentiment is something which is quite common. This makes it so dangerous. It brings me to believe that the government is capable of doing great things. But hat great things are done by the government?
Most great things are not accomplished by politicians who debate whatever direction to go. Nor from any elected, or unelected, head of state. Great things come from individuals. Those who are crazy enough they can change the world are the ones who do. This doesn’t come from politicians, they simply think within regulations and there own limited mindset.
The problem is that at every election we see politicians are promising and believing that they can’t really achieve anything. Just look at President Trump. He is now at the end of the first term as President. What did he achieve? The only thing achieved was the modest tax reform.
So are we trusting those type of people with the great vision and pushing humanity forward? It would be foolish to do. So let’s keep this in mind
